On 29 October 2021, the Central House of Architects hosted the Forum ‘2021 AWARD OF THE NATIONAL UNION OF ARCHITECTS OF UKRAINE’.
The President of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, Oleksandr Chyzhevsky, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.
Forum participants gave interesting presentations on topics relevant to contemporary architecture in Ukraine. Serhii Chechelnytskyi, Honoured Architect of Ukraine, spoke about the transformation of urban space in Kharkiv; Oleksandr Korotkykh, Chief Architect of the Spatial Development Agency, spoke about the implementation of the master plan for Vinnytsia; Olga Terefeeva, designer and EDS speaker, spoke about the significance of modernism and ways to revitalise it; architect Oleksandr Popov, ARCHIMATIKA, spoke about the Lucky Land residential complex in Kyiv; Manuel Núñez Yanovsky, Spanish-French architect, urbanist, corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of St. George in Barcelona – on the problems and prospects of modern cities.
The results of the competition jury's work were announced at the forum, and an award ceremony was held for the winners of the NSAU competition-review in several categories.
Farid Valitov, head of the technical department of the Central Design Institute, a state-owned enterprise of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, took part in the forum.
